DNDW. Sketchy user. Delivers half-assed plugin with lots of bugs, then backs out of the deal because he "lost his charger" and only refunds half. I hire a new developer and threatened to open a scam report on CatDEV, to which he magically found a "backup" of the plugin on a second computer, edited his old message and sent the backup instead of my other half of the money he owed me. I lost money in this situation because he deceived me by stating he couldn't fill in my request, to which my reaction was to hire a new developer.

TL;DR: User edited messages and claims he didn't after only refunding half my money.

I said I lost my charger and it would be a week or so until I got a new one, so I refunded half the money as compensation for the delay. I then remembered I had a backup and sent that. You got a perfectly functional plugin for half price.

You initially deceived me by stating you were not able to fill in my request and were refunding me. Whether or not that is what you meant, that is exactly what your message stated, so my reaction to hire a new developer was natural. Never did you state that you were going to continue to develop the plugin, it is only after you edited your message HOURS later that I found out about that, and that was after I paid a new developer.

Either way, ethically you are obliged to refund my money. I am not in the wrong, your message was deceptive. The fact that you refuse to refund an amount as low as 5 USD only scathes your credibility as a freelancer.[DOUBLEPOST=1551825260][/DOUBLEPOST]It is also bullshit to keep stating "half price' when I had to pay another Developer $10 because of your deceptive message. I paid 3/2 the price because of your "mistake", not 1/2.
