32GB OpenVZ - EU

[Method]

Currently looking for a 32GB OpenVZ server based in the EU. Our budget is ~$100 for it. We’ve found a few hosts that have offered to provide this but they’re unable to guarantee that the servers would be around until this weekend which is when we’re looking to make the purchase. Anyone have a recommendation?

I personally don't recommend using Openvz. KVM is a far superior virtualization software and it does compensate for the extra price gap not only in performance, but in many other ways as well. Also, if you're looking at 32GB VPS', you are most likely in need of either a dedicated server (see http://soyoustart.com or http://ovh.com) or a VDS.

I'd looked into KVM but I'd heard from a friend that it was slower. I'll definitely take a look at those though. Have you used SoYouStart at all 1337?

KVM is not slower whatsoever, in most cases and if configured properly, it should be a considerable amount faster than openVZ. I have used Soyoustart in the past and their price/performance/support ratio really just simply can't be beat.
