Helloooo, Genny here :D
I'm here to sell a buycraft icon pack that includes 5 characters.

The package includes;
- 5 (2500 x 2500 px) Minecraft character icons with frames
- 5 (2500 x 2500 px) Minecraft character icons without frames

Apologies if these are the wrong size for buycraft icons, I'm not too familiar with it myself so I left them at a fairly large size so you can resize them yourself if need be.

What you CAN do with these icons;
  • Use them for your server shop, on your website, on your promos or even for yourself as a profile picture!
  • Resize them to whatever size you require

What you CAN'T do with these icons;
  • Modify or alter the images (this includes adding on text and changing the colors, please contact me for permission if you would like to do so)
  • Re-sell, give away or leak the images to those that haven't paid for them
  • Claim the images as your own (I don't require credit to be given, but please do not say that you made them!)

Right now the price for these is $7.50 minimum, although tips are greatly appreciated x)

You appear to have not understood a single thing I said.
Oh trust me I understood it all. It's just not even close to the same thing. If I buy a non exclusive item that there are INFINITE copies of, and want to put text on it for my rank names, I should not be kept from doing so.

And who are you to say this? The owner and creator of this? She makes the TOS, if you see anything that you would suggest against, do so in a polite manner.

I am someone using my brain that was at a point a potential customer, then I read the TOS. The only way I can think of putting this that relates to real life is say Jeep says you can't change how their car looks without their permission. They can make as many as they want, and once you buy it you should be able to do whatever you wish with it. I understand the resell part, and that wouldn't work in what I just said, but saying you can't modify something you paid for is ridiculous

If you don't like it, jog along. I know a lot of people who would feel uncomfortable with people editing it. Example: If it's a poor job, people would associate it with the artist.

By the way, she didn't actually exclusively say you could not, you just need to PM her to ask for permission.

Imagine being this upset over having to ask permission to do something you think you're oh-so entitled to and having to come up with the most convoluted analogies to explain why you, the merciful, generous buyer that you are, deserve to do what you please without consideration to the person who made the content. Just imagine.

Aaaanyway, huge vouch for Jess, as always.

I was curious if you could help me setup my buycraft with icons? I will pay a negotiable price if you're interested! My Skype is: demmicalaboric
Hye, I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with how buycraft works so I don't think I'll be much help sadly x) Unless you require me to make you custom icons for your buycraft, that I can help with

Hey, thanks for the concern =) At some point I was debating whether or not to add in this rule as I knew it'd spark a lot of controversy and potentially push away customers but one of the biggest reasons as to why I added it is because from past experience, a lot of people interpret 'modify or alter' in different ways. Which then ends up in people tracing my artwork and saying it's a 'modified version' of the original. Another reason I ask for permission is because I just like to keep track of who is and isn't altering my work that I spent many days on. Not only that but I offer free colour changes for those that buy it and also the option to add on text for a small extra charge, rather than letting people go all willy nilly and creating something that doesn't look too great. As others said, it could hurt my reputation as an artist if someone turns it into a shoddy job.
I understand why you're upset about this, but at the end of the day, if people want to edit it that badly all they have to do is spend a few minutes of their day to PM me and ask for permission (or, well, just let me know they're doing so), it's as simple as that.
I'm sorry to hear that you're pushed away from buying because of it, but chances are this won't change in the nearby future :(

I love it.
These look AMAZING, glws!
Thanks guys! :D

Will be contacting you within the next couple of days.
Sounds good, I look forward to it =)
