finally, a developer willing to sell this for a decent price! i've been trying to get something like this made for a while now! i'll be picking up a copy tomorrow. :) this will work correctly on a 1.8 server, right? also, do the meteors just appear or can you actually see them fall?

Yes! MeteorLoot was built/tested on 1.8.1 (however supports lower versions as well)! Also the meteor is visibly represented while falling as a fireball (the entire meteor is actually a custom entity which extends a LargeFireball)

If the plugin has enough support, of course! So far I've only sold 1 copy. If I can get 3-4 more clients id be more than happy to add support for all of the above.

  • No multi-world support as it seems a be redundant (almost no current server has multiple worlds as Bungee has become popular and this plugin server no purpose in the Nether/End)
  • Why would it destroy protected blocks? PROTECTED blocks...
  • I am unfamiliar with the 'spigot hack'.
  • Currently no support for custom names, lore, or enchants to items in loot chest (although planned)
  • Meteor's spawn randomly within a predefined radius from spawn.
  • Technically yes. The meteor will begin to crumble and broken blocks will regenerate - although there is nothing preventing the players from breaking the meteor open and accessing the chest. (Meteors can only be damaged by TNT)

wait... meteors can only be broken open with tnt? can you add an option to enable players to mine through them? i currently have tnt disabled. also, do you have a test server? i'll be home in a bit. really close to buying a copy.

edit: just bought! testing it out now.

edit: currently getting this error on a 1.8 spigot server: http://gyazo.com/70356d9a1753a4793a6f27c973f40dce

edit: it's generating a configuration file, but the commands don't work and the console displays the error above. i hope you can help.

these changes are great. :) perhaps you could add a damage modifier to the meteor? for example, the meteor could go deep into the world, leaving a trail behind instead of just breaking the surface. just an idea! it would be cool to configure.
