You’d be overpaying for a server that small. Use that budget for a playerbase of 300-500 players. Of course existing revenue is a bigger factor, but usually correlates to playerbase.

Understand what you mean, but these "kids" who still play the game have a way larger budget now than they did back then. Most of the people I played with back then still play, and they have jobs. Instead of dropping $20 on a rank, people drop $200+ on average.

Extremely false statement. I agree with you completely that dropping that on a server with almost 0 experience and just hoping paying a manager will create your success is absolutely insane. If you don't know what you're doing, you will fail and you will waste a lot of money doing it.

It is absolutely not true that top servers are making no money anymore. Coming from 1st hand experience of owning a decent size server and being in a group with loads of other owners (sizes small -> largest), I can assure you that your information is incorrect.

But yes, paying that much for a manager for <20 players is just being stupid with your money. Do some research into the market and don't make insane posts like this. You'll get taken advantage of massively.

On that note, if you wanna pay me $5k to run a 20 player server I am 100% in

I don't run servers anymore I'm not sure completely if that's true or not, doesn't make sense why these top networks are being sold. People buy ranks 1 time that's it.

I get it, a lot of kids run around on here like dumbasses. Sure some servers succeed, but a lot of these servers kids have no idea what they're doing and waste it.
