I got bored so I decided to actually sit down and create the sword textures in 512x. So this is the result of my first attempt at them. (Note I do know the hilt is the wrong way Coco)

I'm not a pack maker so I can't really give any feedback. But I like the shading and colours.

The shape of the sword is pretty original, I like it. Personally, I'm not a fan of the grey side of the blade or the red X. How does it look in game? I'd recommend you make the lines a little bit straighter.

Dude looks pretty good, the shape is great, personally I like 16x swords with handles but that looks great, keep the work up

I have no idea what you're referring to, and thus have no clue why it's relevant.
Well I usually based my swords from what I've seen people like, and most people tend to use these kind of texturepacks if they have a computer up to par. As seen here, you can see a example of one of Latenci's sword textures
What did you use to make this?
I currently only use paint.net, but I would move onto using a drawing pad for a cleaner hilt and butt.

well, to be honest, that sword texture looks ugly as all hell because of the ridiculously thick line as well. I assume it's the item texture, not the actual entity of the sword being held by the player, right?

How to turn paint.net drawings into sword textures?

It is only the sword texture, but anyways, I've moved on from using too thick of a outline. This is more of a basic style sword but it got bad feedback.

it already looks way better. If you use that level of outline on the other swords, they'll look a lot better. Now all you need is some line cleanup.

Btw, this guy does some great pixelart tutorials. Most of it is not directly useful to MC, but a lot of it can be helpful for pixelartists. You may not truly be making pixelart, but at this resolution a lot of these techniques may help you out.

I linked his patreon because its got all his public tutorials in one place.

Too simple in my opinion. But definitely improving! Also, you used to be a helper on PrimeMC right?
Creating a sword with actual knowledge of paint.net would be ideal for making textures but I only know the simple tools of it, so this was just a bunch of straight lines and filling in the shape.
But yes I was a helper on PrimeMC back in the day, though some people say I got salty when I resigned from being staff.

The sword shape looks nice but not a fan of the X on the handle
