700 Ping Issue (CSGO)

I get around 200-700 Ping during CSGO as of today and last night.
I was playing last night and out of no where it started lagging. Then I went to my friends house and he would be right next to me with 40 or 50 Ping, while I had 500.

Steam could be having issues, which can cause issues with ping - although typically it'd affect more people than just you.

Is your friends ISP different than yours, if so, it could be your ISP. Or, maybe you were unlucky and joined slow servers. .-.
