I attempted to work with this user yesterday, agreeing to make him a 10k by 10k simple terrain map for $30.
As time progressed he kept adding things to what he wanted, like 1 more biome, then 2 more biomes, wanting me to add dynamic mountain ranges, lakes, flat areas, etc. for the original price.
Eventually I came to the conclusion that he was just trying to scam me into making him a giant map. After putting in 2 hours of work for him I couldn't take it anymore, and I admittedly lost my cool with him. I agreed to refund half his downpayment, as I had already put 2 hours of work into his map, and he threatened to open a scam report on me. I felt I had no choice but to refund 100% of his downpayment, and I did.
Do not deal with this user.

I also had some trouble with the user. Originally I thought he needed a 4K map, but it turned out he was one of those people that mean the radius, not the diameter. before that time, he slowly added things he wanted. fortunately I hadn't taken a payment up front and hadn't made any significant progress yet.
This user added me on skype looking for a 10k x 10k HCF map, after having him give details and telling him the price(as its a large map) he said his budget was $35 and stopped contact after that. I would not deal with this user, thankfully I didnt start or receive payment, user lowballs on the map and based on others comments intends to scam.

We both were unclear on the deals, and I was wrong not to say 3 Biomes in the first place.
Generally as the client, it's best to give all the needed details upfront, regardless of the commission. It's also not a good idea to start adding things to a map already being made, when it's for lower pricing. If you want to have future dealings, I'd advise getting yourself a better name than you have currently. Otherwise, GL
No one is saying the client doesn't come first. However, that doesn't mean the commissioned individual can't back out of a commission, due to a client changing things on them frequently. It's one thing to request 1 change or something not too drastic, but multiple things is out of hand when it's for a lower price. So although the client comes first, it does not mean you're required to deal with the client or fulfill the commission. That's entirely up to the commissioned individual's choice.
If that was truly the issue then there was no need for you to add me on skype in the first place, As I didnt come to you about the commission. Continuing on after I stated how much the price would be and your budget is too low for any Good quality map about 2k x 2k you simple never answered. Which is totally fine seeing as how im not going to deal with lowballers.
My post is simply to warn others about the client, not only have I, but others like Ivain and Aj had trouble with him.

worldpainter. If it was EWG it would be overpriced, yes. However, Worldpainter allows for much more precision. And nobody can afford a 10K voxel map.
Neither, most terraforming on large scale maps is done is World Machine and World Painter. Voxel terrain would cost more for such a large map and EWG, at least in my eyes is cheating. I say cheating becuase if I, as a terraformer used EWG and sold it to a client as custom made it would be true.
So in other words, He got help but fucked up
