I'm saving this. Danke. & Cant ask for "reactions"[DOUBLEPOST=1460861548][/DOUBLEPOST]Hey there MCM users old and new. I decided to make this little discussion since i'm constantly seeing posts about what a vouch copy is from new users so, I decided to make a little definition and some tips when buying/selling products/services.
Okay a "Vouch copy" is basically a free copy used to review your service. That way users can see if your service meets up to the standards they are looking for. People preferably give out vouch copies to "Reputable" users. The "reputable" users are users with high ratings/reactions due to their time spent on MCM. Some users look at the system as being "Flawed" since rating is pretty easily obtained. That's why I personally look at the quantity of vouches on their profile from users with preferably 100+ or 50+ rating depending on the job instead of one vouch from a user with say 650 rating. Since both of these users may be gaining reputation just to exit scam. That is another thing to look out for when buying/selling a big ticket item. Users will gain reputation and then reach a certain point then they will look for an unsuspecting user to scam. Since they have been here for a long time no one will question whether they have the funds or not. They will usually say "I have higher reputation so, you go first" or "Since I have the higher reputation i'll decide on our middleman". Then its hook line and sinker. Depending on the size of scam local authorities may be contacted and it can be a huge process to go through so, to prevent a hole in your wallet always be weary of users no matter their reputation.

Damn u beat me to the punch... Damn itYou aren't allowed to ask for ratings.
That is true, but I don't remember anyone going into this much detail.. I might have tho from SoldierAlex maybe? You know... The term, "Vouch copy" has been defined many times within the past year. xd
Personally, the definition should be simple, not that in depth, as many may alter it to fit their needs. However, this post indicates that "vouches" are a good way to see who is reputable, and that is incorrect. Many incidents in the past can back this up.That is true, but I don't remember anyone going into this much detail.. I might have tho from SoldierAlex maybe?

Nothing can guarantee that someone is 100% trustworthy and not going to scam. However a vouch copy helps prove you are able to provide the service, or have an item, making it less likely to be a scam.Personally, the definition should be simple, not that in depth, as many may alter it to fit their needs.
