Plan: Hi there, I'm Dustin Gillespie. Through these past few months, weeks, etc. I've realized that I can never start a project, and finish it. Overall, I just don't have the motivation or time or anything anymore. I'm wanting to change that and become a new me. I have clients as of now, and I decided to finally do time management again. I used to not do it because I simply didn't need it because I thought I was the best of the best. But no, I am needing it now. What I've learned over the years of owning and managing is that dedication, perseverance, hope, and time are your best friends. I am writing this whole thing because I want to come back in a week or two, and see how I can own up to this and see if I can succeed. So, here's my official introduction to MCM.
So, I gladly will start with my experience. I'm starting with my configuration pathway.
Configuration: I have done configuration for 4 years, it's one of my favorite things because I find it quick and easy and like the challenge sometimes of learning a new plugin or two. Overall, it's a good nice warm feeling that you get once you finish a hard file that I go for. I have done client work and have worked with many people. Sadly, most of them didn't go out well and I'll own up to that. I am not really good with client work because I have that self-conscious of not having enough talent or not doing good enough for them. That's why I'm writing this as said to change, to change who I am. My overall goal is to complete 4 client works in the span of 2-3 weeks, all are server setups but I think I can finally do this correctly.
Helping, Moderation, Administration: This all started actually a year or two after I got minecraft ( Account registered 2013-08-22 ). I was an admin on a small server and was actually quite active. I of course don't remember that name of it, but that was when it all started and that's what got me interested in minecraft servers. One of my first servers that I actually was proud to be staff on, was one that Aidan owned ( He is banned on McM ). I had the name, but I forgot. That's how I learned about more and more people and expanded my work. My first moderation job that got me started was on this server I forgot the name too again. I worked alongside with many other people that ended up working for me for a while.
Owning: Well, my first server that I ever owned was called "ExplitPvP", it had designs from fivver and many other things that we overpaid for, that we had. That's when it all started and I realized that somethings are overpriced and some people don't deserve to pay $150 for a 100x100 like I did. I currently own one server but have gone through Over 20. It's a mess, some of them still posted here such as BeyondMC, Scareful, VoyagePvP, Fyteria, TribalMC. Many many servers that have failed, I don't plan on failing anymore with my current server Atropic.
Now, I'm going to introduce my goal for myself.
My Goal: My goal is to as said, finish my client work. And achieve a functioning minecraft server. I plan on working everyday and setting a good schedule for me to finally work on products and projects. I will probably have some help and some testers to assist me but they'll be either previous staff members or friends of mine. I will update this one day and tell some of you or all of you that are interested in me what changed, and how I finally improved.
