Okay here me out but I thought this was pretty smart.

Recently with the account lock-waves, a lot of people have been losing money. (Including MCM due to people not wanting to buy premium)

I think I figured out a way to counter this, however.

1.) Make the account section viewable for premium+ only temporarily. I know this will stop some sales, but it's better than losing an entire account.

2.) Give Premium users the ability to delete their own threads rather than Supreme. You could also just make an auto thread-deleter that deletes a thread after it's marked sold, which you can turn on or off.

3.) Make the association system not viewable to other viewers, (i.e let people have to have the account associated before they sell it like it is now, but only staff can see who has accounts associated, not other members) If staff truly aren't giving out names to Mojang for them to be blocked, then this + #4 will create a huge blow to Mojang lock waves.

4.) Users/people should be allowed to/put asterisks (*) in their thread titles & threads themselves. If people want to know what the account name is, they can PM the user.

I'm pretty sure if all of these are in place, Mojang will not be able to (or will struggle to greatly) lock accounts that have/are being sold. If all else fails just ban Swedish IPs. Kappa

Leave your thoughts below, thanks!

EDIT: Idea #1 has been implemented. It seems like MCM's trying to do something. However, as I said later on in the thread, a better idea would be to make it so that instead of you having to purchase the premium upgrade, you should have to reach a certain message amount. This would completely eliminate ban evaders, as well as Mojang since they'd be caught before they reach this message amount.

For example, make it so access to the Semi-OG section requires 300 messages, access to the Cape Section requires 500 messages, and access to the OG section requires 750 messages. This way, more active users can go into each of these sections without having a $10 paywall.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I just got back to Mc-Market a few days ago after having been gone for a few months. One of the first things I thought about when I heard Mojang was targeting account sellers on Mc-Market was how counterintuitive the association system is. On one hand yes, it verifies you own the account you intend to sell. On the other hand it also gives Mojang all the proof it needs to lock an account without question. The association system either needs to be hidden as suggested or removed entirely.

We're not going to be making any changes to our Minecraft account sales systems on the forum at this time.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
