JS and Java are completely different so what do you want the developer to do? Java isn't a web language.

Java isn't a web language, but can be used for websites with the Play Framework, although I agree with what you say.

JSP is basically java for web development. Runs on a Tomcat Server

Actually, JS's initial usage was as a scripting language to be embedded in Java applications. It's actually still usable for this purpose and is why JavaScript's syntax is so similar to Java's (and also the reason for the name). It can still be, and often is, used for scripting within Java applications - i.e. modifications or user-designed code to be run.

op was probably referring to node.js, which can be used like java in certain cases. While true that java isnt a web language, the op stated he wants interaction, which obviously java can do. Lastly, looking at his name, you all must have some idea at he wants you to do, which can be fulfilled by either node or java, and a variety of other languages.
