"a large, Upcoming server"
That means you would have a large budget no?
Large server doesnt always mean large budget. He could have friends helping make this large network, but not alot to launch / host it.

They had 8 hours downtime for some people yesterday but usually they are decent, great prices

My server was running fine? I've never had any problems personally with them.

Glad to hear :).

It was a power outage yesterday that affected a lot of other people. Nocix and WSI

It may be a bit above your budget range but Galaxy node offers this:
CPU GHZ RAM HDD DDOS PRICE
(2) Xeon X5550 2.66/3.06 24GB RAM 2x146GB SAS 20Gbps. $55/mo.

if you have other inquires or need a more custom build you could always contact us via our support tickets and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Large server doesnt always mean large budget. He could have friends helping make this large network, but not alot to launch / host it.

Then he shouldn't honestly had put so much efforts into making it unrealistic size. Because if the host is subpar then all the time, efforts, investments put into the servers could be gone in literally a blink of an eye.

Large networks not only have to budget for the mere hardware but also staffing of the hardware and BACKUP AND DR PLANNING.

I would agree with FTSOwner to run a Large server you do need a larger budget.

The larger the budge the better hardware you can get. Even at Galaxy Node we offer Good hardware for a decent price but to really succeed as a large server you do need to invest more into the higher tiers with better hardware.

Attempting to run a large server on a small budget can backfire so I wish you the best of luck on running this Server of yours.
