You won't get a dedicated server for just 3GB. Minimum I've seen is 8GB. I think you mean just a server with DDOS protection right?

Dedicated server = just your server on a standalone device.
Normal server = a dedicated server shared by many users.

Damn, that's pricey. 1GB for $6!? For that I'd recommend a big host such as Nitrous Networks.
Otherwise fallout-hosting or glownode will do for around $2.50 a GB

Like I said above, we need to pay our employees and bills somehow. I'd like to clarify that we're not a budget host.. We provide higher quality hosting, which comes with a higher price tag. Most companies out there don't even pay their employees, but we do. Of course they're able to sell at $2.50/GB. Yes, we sell space off of a dedicated machine. Additionally, we do have dedicated IPs. They're usually a one time fee of $3, however I'd be willing to just waive that fee if you're interested. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to shoot them my way.
