Recently all kinds of people are being scammed for many reasons one the most popular ones:
  • User not confirming on site (Imposter)
  • User not using a Middle Man in a big trade
  • Trusting the reputation system
Side note: Reputation can be trusted in very high amounts if your doing a small deal, reputation basically means they have done something good or just got a reputation it can be given for anything from smooth deal to being nice, to anything with items being involved.

How to avoid getting scammed:
  • Confirm on site
  • Use a TRUSTED Middleman such as Landon
  • Look at there reputation if it's a big deal and it's under 2 reputation or something you think is unreasonable then just don't do the deal even if it could be big.
  • Trust your gut, many people get scammed but, the worst thing is they think something is fishy but, don't trust their gut.
  • If it's a big deal verify with the people who have given him/her a reputation to see what they thought.
  • Use services that are known to be good, not saying you can't use new resources but try asking for a test server and figure out if it's good.
These are some basic ways of how to not get scammed any more ideas? Feel free to reply to this thread and I'll add them. This guide is very short, so do not rely on this guide.

G&S doesn’t protect digital goods. Any knowledgable user can dispute G&S and win if they know basic Buyer protection.
I've been using g and s for 2 years, and lost chargebacks twice and had thousands in deals. FNF on the other hand, I think I've been scammed almost every time I used it (Not a lot of money tho, like £10 each time, probs adding to like $50 or somin)

I don’t expect many here to understand how PayPal works and you can probably get away with it, but I don’t like the argument of “g&s is safer!” because it really isn’t. PayPal sucks for seller protection.

Agreed, with PayPal I get scammed so many times.
There's no definitive way to not get scammed using PayPal.

I wouldn’t necessarily say not wanting to use a middleman in big deals means they have the intention of scamming. It’s fairly reasonable to want to keep a deal between the users directly involved rather than invite a third party that could potentially scam.

A. Don't deal on discord
B. Don't deal PayPal with unreputable members
C. Hope no one reputable decides to exit scam on you
D. Use User, the best user on the site, as a middleman.
