I just joined a minute ago to create a recruitment post. I have to post at least three times before I can post links/images... so why not actually engage with this community?
Well, my name is Poterd and I'm a college student who has been playing Minecraft since way back in 2012. In the game, I'm mainly a medieval builder. I studied medieval European history for a bit which, I guess, is where my inspiration comes from. The desire to share your work is something that comes with being a builder. I've also always had the unrealistic dream of creating a massive kingdom that players could live in. They would each have a lil home and go to their town market and trade with one-another. It was a fun idea.
Obviously, there was always the issue of not actually having people on a server who really cared about my idea lol. I realized that no amount of land claim, towny, or other community-centered plugin could sate my hunger for a medieval kingdom. So what did I do?
I started a server with a good friend of mine.
It had 4 active players for about a day
Then it died.
R.I.P. | Server | April 5th - April 5th 2019
Now I'm back and more ambitious than ever to live out my original Minecraft dream. I started another server (with that same friend, if anyone was wondering... or if anyone is even still reading). This time we're making it a real role-play server with quests/custom map/etc. Think other RP servers but... actually organized (I'm a perfectionist if you couldn't tell by now). Also, think Skyrim in terms of detail and theme.
So here's my first post introducing myself. If you're still reading, I appreciate you
I hope you have a great day
