I think a good requirement/restriction we can add to resources could be a tick box for a changed profile picture (meaning this is optional). You may be thinking, how can this help? Users who usually leak resources are constantly throwing away their account and not changing anything like a profile picture. And if you are a legit buying user, you would probably care enough to set a profile picture. It's just one more thing that might help and set you apart from a user who leaks. What do you think?

If it's one more thing that they have to do, W. But just make it more annoying for them, and for those who are careless it will block them off so it helps just a bit more even if its not a lot.

let's be honest. as much as MCM and Spigot do to try and stop leakers. It wont be enough. These sites are pretty hard to stop. it's a shame tho because all these people that dedicate their time to making resources goes out the windows. Even worse is they pay these leaking sites to remove their products. It's hard to stop these sites, that's all.

Yeah its a real problem, the fight goes on. If anything as little as this can help I just want to try it.

Can I get some more input on this? I'm curious if this will still be beneficial to the site. Still getting some mixed feedback from everyone.

We already have quite a few criteria you can choose from (how long ago did the member register, their message/like/purchase count, feedback score, upgrades, etc), which when working*, I feel is more than sufficient to root out any illegitimate purchasers.

This option you're proposing can be useful, but it seems like we'd be adding it just for the sake of it, rather than it actually being a more useful criterion than the others already provided.

I'd personally prefer that any development time (if any due to our plans to upgrade to XF2 before continuing custom development) was spent on fixing the existing bugs present within the purchase criteria system.

The main reason I chose profile picture is because it may be able to spot out a trash account (an account that is soon to be thrown away or banned) if someone used the same picture or a stolen or very common photo. Maybe, just maybe those leakers who are careless will have to go out of their way to make the account look more real which can make the process more tedious for them. And, if you are using the same photo/style you could maybe spot it out? Yes its a shot in the dark but It is always possible. And the likely hood of having a real member without a profile picture is low, I have had many leakers just simply not have one because they knew the account would be banned. Maybe if no pfp, it would look for a name color or rank to substitute some change/cosmetic in the account? REMEMBER, if you don't want this feature it can be a tick box meaning it is just for those a little more paranoid than others.
