How am I supposed to sell a minecraft account if I have no money to buy a rank? Because that's kind of unfair imo that only those with money can sell things.

Prevents scamming because a lot of "New Members" claim they have something like an account that they don't. Not saying ranked people aren't scammers, but it shows commitment.

Its only $10. Earn it the same way everyone else does. You have to be good at something that you're able to sell. Plugin development, building, web design etc.

Requiring aspiring members to pay an amount of money before they're in a position that enables them to scam other users is a good way of requiring some investment into the community. People who are invested in the community are disincentivised from jeprodising their position within the community.
