Hey, i’m new to web development and willing to become a full stack web development and i’m half way there (learned html5, css, bootstrap 4 and javascript till now and still learning)
However, I need to practice a lot so do you guys think it’s a good idea to get free templates and try to edit them myself?
And if I did this am I allowed to sell them and charge a small amount around $5 just for my efforts and changing in the code files to the customer’s satisfaction?

Templates are absolutely free with no copyright issues.

You could do this. I'd make sure to read the ToS of the templates prior to taking it upon your self to sell a heavily edited version.

You could also, try to create a website from scratch and basically just use the trial & error method.

I think it would be more rewarding if you just made a custom website yourself. Not only do you learn a lot from the experience, but you also have full rights to the project.

that’s right, i’m taking templates as examples on how to design the site and make it look really smooth. I’ve read the TOS and they’re absolutely free and no copyright issues so i’m good on that side i was just thinking if it’s scummy to charge for an already made template but logically i’m charging for my efforts and changes i make and $5 is super cheap for such thing as well.
Thank you for your feedback :)[DOUBLEPOST=1588787311][/DOUBLEPOST]

You’re absolutely right but i’m doing this just for motivation and experience :)
