This is a post-giveaway check, the actual procedure of giveaways on the BBB Discord server would not need to change to accommodate this suggestion.

Hey there, recently me and a few other authors contributing to giveaways have noticed a scheme to manipulate the odds in a specific user's favour.

Here's how the scheme works:
1.) Get your staff to make BuiltByBit accounts.
2.) Get them to enter all the giveaways.
3.) Upon winning the giveaway, abuse the author's kindness to get them to issue the giveaway to the "actual winning account" (The intended account, not the actual account).

While this isn't against the current rules. I believe it should be. Doing this takes winning chances away from people who are actually interested in winning the product offered. And redirects all that interest towards a single specific individual.

In my eyes this is immoral.

So here's my suggestion on what to do about this:
Implement a new giveaway rule, something like "Do not use the accounts of other users to enter giveaways on your behalf, or to enter giveaways with the intention of giving them to a specific individual.".
This rule, would eliminate the possibility of foul play in the current system, but would allow the winner of the giveaway to re-give it away to another random user, if they did not end up needing the prize, after winning the giveaway. This would reduce false positives with any other potential rules, such as a rule preventing people from entering a giveaway they do not intend to claim or something similar.

All three of the below images are different people redirecting resources to one larger server owner.

Examples from Discord:

The second message was a guy being pinged about it, I don't want to witchhunt here so I'm excluding specific perps.

Thanks for hearing me out.

Example:

Mick tells Akash, Geek and Matty to enter all giveaways even if they are not interested in the prizes.
If any of them wins, they will ask the giveaway author to give the prize to Mick.

This is unfair as Mick could win various prizes by "bypassing" how the system is intended to work.

And a note for when people say "Just don't give the prize to the other account". This is a Christmas giveaway, usually most authors will be kindhearted enough to do it anyway, even if they're not technically obligated to. And usually the resource will be downloaded and shared at that point, which is an even more serious leaking offense.

You are not allowed to give your win to someone else. If someone is trying to pass it on report them.

"Winners are not allowed to give their prize to a friend and are definitely not allowed to try and resell their prize.".

There's no official rule against it, it's just a gentleman's agreement with no repercussions as of current, which is what this suggestion is attempting to change for future giveaways.
Mick says that you shouldn't transfer prizes, but nothing is actually done about it.

There's no proof that they're cheating giveaways. Either you give it to the suggested person or just give it to the winner.

He openly admitted in the Discord to cheating the system, and getting people to enter giveaways they had no intention of actually using the prizes from. I think that's proof enough, personally.

Then ban him or give him wp. There's no way to prove that they're cheating unless they state it themselves or someone shows proof that they did ask people to join for them. I don't see why you should give it to a random user. If someone wants to transfer what they won they shouldn't have joined that specific giveaway anyways, why join something you don't want. Just don't let them give it away.
