Hey MC-Market,
Recently I have been really thinking there isn't a real good place to find a database of sorts on scammers. Coming from discord, there really isn't a good system to report scammers on there and they can easily come back. Even discord doesn't allow servers to have a scammer report system. I mean just a while ago discord.gg/scammeralert was taken off discord. And it was really the only place to go.
Now that we have the basic ideas we need to know pros and cons
Pros:
• This would be relatively easy to implement as it would act very similar to the current system for onsite scammers.
• It would give Mcmarket users a better place to find known scammers or past issues with users.
Cons:
• Staff would definitely be a big issue, at the current standing point, Mcmarket staff is already struggling with normal scam reports. Unless they A: get a ton of new staff to manage this system or B: get there current staff to adapt to this, this suggestion won't preform well.
Counter Cons:
To sort of counter the cons of this idea, it could just be an open system where a Mcmarket user can post their proof of the user scamming and just leave it at that, no confirmations, the only confirmations would be you to decide if the person was a scammer. This would require a significant less amount of staff to monitor this part of MCM.
Thanks for reading, I really hope this is at least considered.
