is it possible to run a minecraft server, on your pc, on a virtual machine? like a virtual machine just for the MC server. is this possible?

You COULD host it on your computer, but I wouldn't recommend it.
There are some pretty cheap host around, look in the Hosting section.

im just doing this for fun, testing purposes, how do i run a minecraft server on a virtual machine? like just minecraft server, no windows or os.

Do you have a separate VM? If it's just for testing stuff, simply run it on your PC, there are tons of tutorials on how to setup a MC server.

Whenever i want to make servers, configure plugins, windows like to fuck up my configurations and add symbols i never addeded. so its crap and i wanted to see if i can run a single mc server on a virtual machine only.

Yeah, windows doesn't like special characters, I've never ran a MC server on a VM, but like I said, I'm sure there is a tutorial on google.

Confused on what you mean about trying to run a minecraft server without an operating system... You could run it on linux command line using java.. It would be pretty easy.
