Ability to pin messages on your profile

It would be cool to be able to pin your message or someone else's message on the top of your profile (just above the messages). Say there is something you want someone to know as they visit your profile or a really good meme you just made. They'll see it right as they visit your profile.

Then they'll have to follow you or you follow them?

and then that means people who follow you can post on your profile.. the user is simply requesting a way to PIN messages to the top of your profile/wall for everyone to see, there's no reason you should need to limit people commenting to do this

There's a reason behind the XF setting to limit it.

I am pretty sure this idea has been suggested and denied in the past. Not sure why though.
However, I support this idea, please implement it.

Really nice idea and similar to how Twitter allows you to pin one of your past tweets to your profile.

However, this would require costly custom add-on development as I couldn't find an existing add-on that does this aside from this, but it's not exactly what Spade was requesting.

Yeah, I believe Spade is asking for the ability to pin profile posts, not posts in a thread.
And yes, it would have to be a custom add-on, which could run upwards towards a few hundred dollars (Xenforo is a very expensive tool to work with )
