BTC upgrades were thing for roughly half a year. Eventually the payment method was removed because we only had 1 payment in 6 months.

Removed due to fluctuation. Just wasn't worth it.

Yeah, btc was dead then [not dead in general, but not more idiots knew it and ruined it] , I am sure theres more people who would buy using it right now.

I'm not suggesting against it. I'm just stating some facts about this.

I still personally wouldn't add it to this site. It's simply too vulnerable.

A lot of BTC gateways, such as BitPay have the option to immediately deposit into a bank account, so the risk of $10 turning to $3 in a month isn't a risk.

Since this suggestion was created the hype and overall prevalence of crypto on the site has dropped drastically, and I don't really want to accept bitcoin when a huge majority of the forum just uses PayPal. It's just adding one more thing to manage and considering Bosny has already said it was rarely used, I don't see why we would.
