For the most part, girls don't care about gifts. They're nice, yes. But gifts aren't what make a relationship. It's the time you spend together.

You want to do something for her? Set up a date that she wouldn't be able to forget and will go gushing to her friends about. If you have the know how make something for her instead of buying it. Putting time into something is so much more meaningful than going to a store or buying something off of the internet. My favorite gift I've ever received wasn't anything that was bought from a store. It was a metal rose that one of my exes had formed and welded together that he offered to me one night when we went walking downtown around Christmas when the streets were lit up like the northern lights and it was cold so we had to cuddle for warmth and split a hot chocolate. It was simple but in that simplicity was one of the sweetest memories I had with him because it wasn't about anything or anyone but us.

multiple smaller gestures that are surprises are more important than a one time larger gift. Its also more about thought than price. ( Coming from someone whos relationship has lasted 2 yrs+ and I am not a "prepubescent kid" xD )
