As a new member, I purchased 'Premium Upgrade' a few hours ago; as a result it was set to be approved/reviewed by the team themselves. I understand as I am a new member but, it'd be better if new members can purchase Premium instantly.

That would be due to PayPal holding your payment for them to check it, not for us to check. It's unfortunately out of our hands with this but as soon as they have done their checks, your payment will be released and you'll get Premium.
