I'm pretty sure there used to be a MC-Market Minecraft server with a verification system for accounts. I think it was something like, /verify and then it gave you a token you could redeem on the website to prove you owned an account.

Probably the best idea to reduce scams I've heard in a while. No liability for MCM, but just an additional method of verification. Make it so verifying the account is required to post a thread in that forum. Might take a bit of coding over on XF, but nothing intense and would decrease account scams hugely.
