I know that several of you have seen threads requesting respective managers, developers, and artwork done for an untitled project, a project with a codename 'Project M'. Some of you even guessed on what 'Project M' stood for. I'm proud to announce that my team and I are working on a 1:1 scale recreation of Disneyland, complete with the rides, restaurants, hotels and parades that are featured at Disneyland.
Since the acquisition of MCMagic by Palace Network, the quality of the server and other knock-off servers has greatly declined. On any given day, rides, shows, and restaurants can be down for maintenance. There can be bugs and errors. Staff members are not trained to act in a professional capacity. On the working attractions, models and soundpacks are not utilized to the extent of which they can be. Quite frankly, the project is half-assed. There used to be a playerbase capping thousands of players a day, with hundreds on at any given time. This morning, for example, when I logged on to a 'popular' theme park server, there were 3 people on, one of which were staff. The quality has declined, and a playerbase is looking for a solution. Enter Project Mickey.
Authenticity is a key point in any scale recreation, which is why we are going as far as to replicate the food served in any of the dozens of restaurants around Disneyland, or as far as having conversations with the maintenance Cast Members at Disneyland to learn more about the land and how it is laid out. (A small reminder that Project Mickey is not associated with Disney in any way - see our legal disclaimer below.) With authenticity being really important to us, it is important that we can work as a team to ensure a safe and amazing experience for all guests.
Active Positions
As of now, we are currently recruiting for two different positions. These are full time shifts and jobs, and will be paid as such. We abide by the United States minimum wage, which is currently 7.50 an hour.
Cast Member
Full Time | 7.50/hr
Project Mickey needs full time Cast Members to monitor the server's LiveChat. The LiveChat is a tool that we are using to revolutionize support available on a Minecraft server by allowing the Cast Member and the Guest to communicate freely, not limited by Minecraft's character limit, along with the ability to send real-time photos and videos. The LiveChat is staffed 24 hours a day with Cast Members, so hours for this position vary greatly for your timezone. The Cast Member will specifically deal with LiveChat and will not need to log into the server at all, which makes this job perfect for students on the go, or with regular access to a computer that does not run Minecraft.
- At least 1 year experience working with LiveChatInc.
- Good people skills.
- Able to work at least 35 hours a week.
- Ability to take constructive criticism.
- Ability to cooperate within a team.
- Good time management.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Extensive experience with large Minecraft servers is a plus.
Cast Supervisor
Full Time | 9.00/hr
Project Mickey needs experienced supervisors available to handle Cast Member inquiries and deal with higher level issues. This is a 9-5 desk job. Inquire with a resume for more information.
