You added it to the announcements for your giveaway thread in there! Add one for the contests and giveaways forum section! You would no longer get all those replies spamming your alerts from somebody new entering the giveaway. All the user has to do to enter the giveaway is click the button.

Example of how it could look on a thread:

He had a reason for commenting, he stated why he agrees. Just because he stated he agreed in the reply, doesn't mean he should only use the agree button. He DID state why he agreed in his post. You replying back with that link, is 1) You post farming 2) Essentially the same thing as just replying "I agree".

Would that also come with an automated system that randomly picks a winner on the date specified in the thread?
Cause most of the giveaways nowadays are rigged.

Maybe like a small panel that only appears to the giveaway hoster? It lists all the people who entered, with an X button, which will disqualify and disallow the person from reentering, and a "Pick Winner" button that picks a random person from everybody who entered.

I suppose that could work. As long as people cannot abuse it in order to pick a winner themselves.

I don't think it would be possible to abuse, unless the hoster kicked everyone who entered out, except the person they want to win. But there could easily be a system in place, where if the hoster starts kicking multiple people at once, they get blocked from kicking people for 48 (or more/less) hours.

Another idea, is after the person is picked, include a small box at the top that says "USER has won this giveaway!".
But the "Pick Winner" button would be on the giveaway panel that is only viewable to the giveaway hoster that I mentioned above. And after the person clicks, it RANDOMLY picks someone who entered, and then puts that box on the thread saying who wins.
The system could automatically not count suspended, or banned people.

I feel like it should be optional though, because what if your requirement is "You have to put this in your signature and post {words} here on the thread"

people hate those anyway that's not a giveaway that's underpaying for advertisement. there have been threads about making those against the rules

This exact suggestion was implemented in one of our recent updates, so I'll move this to accepted.

Thanks for the suggestion :)
