Add a "Hacked Client / Cheats" area

Just because there's a lot of agrees doesn't mean it's a good thing. Honestly, hacks and cheats have no place here. I'm surprised myself that it's not been rejected already

It's a modified client, it's not like people are selling guns & drugs.

It being a "shitty thing" is subjective. I agree, I don't like hackers, but if they wanna buy that shit from here, may as well give them a section for it. It's not against the law, it's not even against the Minecraft TOS

Still haven't seen any reason to let people buy and sell hacks from this forum beyond 'a bunch of skids want it'.
Also, I'm afraid you're wrong in the regard of it not being against the ToS.

No, that's not what it says. The EULA changed in 2014, which you should honestly KNOW. if you claim something's not even against the EULA but haven't read said EULA in 5 years, you're gonna encounter surprises.

Anyways, regarding your point that 'hacked clients are bad' or whatever. Just because you don't support them, doesn't mean they shouldn't be sold. It's a market forum. You sell stuff. You make money. Just because you don't like the idea of hacking, shouldn't mean we can't sell hacked clients. Just like plugins, Developers put time and effort into clients, and it's only fair if they can be sold on a minecraft marketplace.

I've never supported accounts either, so many scams take place around it, but unfortunately it's part of the life blood of this forum. Hacked clients have so far not really proven to be anything in regards to that.
I'll just simply state that I do not think an official hack client section should be added, since it detracts from the overall forum experience, and I'm standing by that. It's clear that a lot of people disagree with me, but I'm afraid this is one point I will not concede. I argued against accounts, and was glad for the period that they were gone, but the current system and rules are the best possible option for allowing accounts to be sold.

Perhaps, if Mick DOES decide to implement this, he should consider similar regulations on hacked clients (for instance injected clients only, which would be circumventing the EULA on a technicality).
I simply won't support it, and if it's implemented despite that, well, that's life.

I don't think anyone cares about the EULA here because when people sell their accounts they're already breaking it. With accounts, Mojang can lock them of course, but the only thing they can do about clients is file a DMCA takedown which has happened before. In fact, to get around a DMCA takedown, the developer can easily make it a forge mod or use an installer rather than the jar and json. Therefore I support the OP's suggestion.

I honestly did not read much of this thread, but I think adding a section for custom clients should be good.
I personally don't think selling current clients is a smart idea though.

I agree with this %100. The only thing that wouldn't be good is, there is going to be a shit ton of skids. People taking shitty cheats and just skidding and selling. It would be a nightmare. But other than that I think this is a great suggestion!
