Title basically says it all. Make it so we can see who's typing before they post their message in the live chat. A lot of social media websites have this feature.

I highly doubt it would work with the existing AJAX configuration, considering the shoutbox only updates when a message is sent.

Theres always a possibility of replacing the content with better content, of course it may seem rather ridiculous to redo the shoutbox; it is smarter to acknowledge the possibilities at hand.

How would people benefit from this though? I don't see any purpose in interrogating this feature as it'll cost for development and won't benefit mcm members and staff.

Bottom of the work list project, idk its somewhat useful to find out if someone is typing.
so if 5 people are typing it takes up the length of chat?
also, where in chat would you place this? in the embedded window there's not that much space
Right below the chat, it would be like "Zack, Glove, Mick and your are typing...

On discord if like 5 people are typing it will usually say something like 'multiple people are typing' instead of listing them all
But yea seeing who is typing is sorta pointless
