Add shoutbox rooms

Title say it all. We need it, in private rooms we should be able to do whatever we want it'll be like a non-moderation chat. We can do whatever we want in it no rules in it (except scamming etc). It would be pretty sick when a group of people wanna talk without disturbing others but it's over 10 people.
Also, this feature should be supreme only.

That's the problem, there is no official Discord or Slack, if Mick made one it would actually be popular.

WHy? Because you say so? There's a reason it's been denied before. As mentioned above, IF mick decided to hire someone to alter the code and add this feature, it would not only be difficult, expensive, and time consuming - it would also mean reimplementing the feature into every single new update to the plugin or just never getting updates at all. If you want a private/group conversation outside of the regular shoutbox, it takes < 30 seconds to create a discord/skype/slack server/group.

BeBosny was holding the site hostage, people just make assumptions that he took the site of him for no reason and just for money but that's simply not true. Mick told BeBosny he was going to sell the site to him and then got all the stuff back so BeBosny didn't have it in his possession. I'm sure a lot of people would of done the same if someone took their site of them and were holding it hostage.

LOL. Bebos offered over $50k I believe for the site, mick constantly turned it down. Besides, after mick took it back bebos still had access and could have very very easily destroyed the site, but he didn't because he's not petty, it's just business. Besides bebos was dishing out more money than he was making with his portion each month, it wasn't worth it to keep going

BeBosny wasn't holding the site for "hostage" as you are saying, he loved the site and the community he also offered tons of money to buy the site but yet m1ck refused.

If he was so money hungry why wouldn't he sell the site for 50k MTG ? He cares about the community, otherwise why wouldn't he turn down 50k?

If he cares about the community he would have let bebos buy the site as the community wanted him, also he wouldn't see the business that gets him money every month.

What, and allow all supreme members to make rooms? The shoutbox isn't an IRC network, you know...

I feel you are thinking of the shoutbox as something more versatile than it is. If we were going to add rooms, they should be made by staff for sitewide purposes, not as a replacement for Skype chats.

I feel m1ck is just too lazy to hire someone.

Currently the lovely Lyphiard is doing all development work for MC-Market and we are working on adding things that are the highest priority. It isn't about the money or me having to hire someone else, it's that there's rarely any real rush to put out a new feature.

The problem with adding this is that it will force lyphiard or whoever else does it to not only work on someone else's code, which can be a pain, but it will also force McM to stop updating the plugin or have to re-implement the modification every update.[DOUBLEPOST=1488224307][/DOUBLEPOST]
So tell me, why should he spend hundreds on this plugin? Is it going to get him a big profit in return? or is it just gonna be a handful of dudes having fun because they have rooms now?

Rooms is a built-in feature of the addon as it is. It's not so much a problem for me to enable them, but I don't like having a section of the site where rules don't apply, that's just us asking for trouble.
