This would have to be custom coded, and it'd be annoyingly hard to do it cleanly, it's not worth the time, money and effort.

True but it does remove some of the worries that were brought up of an MCM discord.

I don't really have a problem with the suggestion itself. I think it could be cool. The main problem is it would need to custom developed to be actually integrated and it would probably cost a lot to do that and MCM does have some more important things to do and take care of so this wouldn't be useful for them to do at this moment. It's also easier to moderate a chat than it is a voice room. They have a chat archive but you can't really do that for a voice room. The cost to this would be too high.
While I do think if it is planned well and executed well it could be cool, I think it might cost too much for MCM to do right now.
