adding new "rating"

hey, i reckon we should add a new rating system which could be called "vouches" and you only use it when you have purchased something off the person.
farming this should be bannable and when you reach like 10 vouches without a Scam report during it, you can have the tag under your name "Trustworthy".

but its so much easier, it could have a count system rather than all smuthered up in chat, plus it interferes with the item being sold

Sorry, but there's too many flaws with this. Yes, you could ban the farming of likes, but this just adds extra work for MCM staff.

2. potential customers rarely check the buttons, they do look in previous posts.
3. Why not just give them a 'Winner' rating then post a vouch?

It's a very creative idea. But how would we know they actually purchased from the user? It'll put a lot more work on our current Staff Team - as theDigitalGhost said.

Vouches are meant to be a fairly descriptive review of a product, not a virtual number by the post. However, it does easily tally up how much reputation a post may have (even though rating reputation is quite trivial) just by seeing the little icon next to the post, for example:

hm... what about if when you click the vouch rating it asks you to write a sentence or two about the purchase and asks you to rate out of 10 and on your profile you can view all vouches given to you by others and shows what they wrote about them

Crowne This is a bit more of a complex system, which I am sure the staff team has considered. However, many forums have thrived off of just the simple vouch message ([Censored] is huge and it's been around for over five years).

You should not over simplify it with a button, and you should not over complicate it with a submission process. The current system is fine for vouches, just ignore "ratings".

Well what if I have multiple shops. And I have the same guy purchase an item from each of the shops. I'll only be gaining one specific "Vouch" on one of my shops and not the rest to show I'm as legit.

Then again, if this will be the case of only one vouch rating per specific user. The amount of alts used for boosting will increase.

Sorry but the idea seems a bit sketchy to me, and not really something worth to be implemented in the future. I will however tell you, the idea of an auto-rank "Trustworthy" after reaching a specific number of ratings does seem pretty cool and clean. Nice idea though!

I feel like this would be used improperly. Some people here really don't know how to properly use ratings.
