Hello MCM,

So this is just a simple suggestion, the sections that you can post under with the Tag [Shop] I think there should be a kind of sub-tag which goes with it to show if the shop is open or not. So if you created a shop for example [Shop] Config Shop you could have a sub tag which would then say [Shop] [Open/Closed] Config Shop. I know that you could just put this in the thread title but it may look nicer with there being another tag added.

Leave your thoughts below.

There's no reason to try utilizing multiple tags.
The "Closed" tag already exists, and if you have any other tag, then it's safe to say you're probably open.
If you are in fact closed, then there should be no reason to state what the thread is offering, if it's a shop or something else; because whatever it is... It's closed.

Just use the closed tag.

Thanks your your thought. I did think of this but I think it would look nicer using a sub-tag because if someone's shop is temporarily closed and they use the "Closed" Tag, people may not bookmark / watch that thread because they may think the shop is permanently closed. But if there was a sub-tag then it would show that there is still a shop, but it is temporarily closed, so people may still want bookmark / watch the thread for when it reopens.

Obviously the closed tag is great for when you want people to skip over you entirely.
If you're a person who still wants people to open your thread, and read what you have to offer for whatever reason, then why not do what I've done, and simply state at the top of the thread that your services are on hold, and provide more information there?

For all intents and purposes, you're either skippable, or you're readable.

The small margin of people who will open your thread and contact you without reading anything isn't substantial enough to warrant a separate clarifying tag.
This is of course, just my opinion.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm suggesting it mainly for the visual effect. If users agree with this but you may think that adding two more tags is unnecessary, you could change the colour of the [Shop] tag depending on whether it's open or not. At the moment the Shop tag has a blue background but this could be changed to a Green background for an open shop or a red background for a closed shop, however this may be confusing for new members. But as I said before, it's just a small suggestion which could make thread's that bit more professional.[DOUBLEPOST=1488883347][/DOUBLEPOST]FEEW, please mention why you disagree?

I'd rather you left it as disagree if you don't want this implemented ;). Was just asking why you disagreed.
