Firstly, I like to thank you for taking the time to read this. And apologize if this is a very simple, I am a little new to writing these. I am looking for a paid Administration position and Mentor Manager (If available). If a position below admin is available, I’m willing to take that for you to see how I work.
Introduction: My name is Lia, I’m 20 years old. I live in Canada, and am currently studying towards the GED test (General Educational Development) Which I do 9AM - 11Am from Monday thru Thursday. I still make sure to put in a fair amount of time into my work each day despite this.
Experience: I have at least 2 years worth of staff experience, but 4 years in total playing on servers and learning. My experience with this, has been pretty amazing. I love how many people I have met from around the world during this time. And all the communities I’ve gotten to know along the way.
During this time being staff. I have gone through being Helper through Admin quite a few times. Majority of my work experience is working alongside the community. I make a point to listen to them, work things out together. But also explain why decisions have been made from the staff’s end. During more recent time being Admin, I have been a Mentor manager.
My time as admin has given me knowledge and experience on.
As a final note. I cannot record at all. My computer has a very old video card, and it isn’t allowing me to use any recording software.
Places I’ve been staff:
First server I have ever been staff on is called Skylegion. A small (20-40 dedicated players) server that was mainly Skyblock. My time there comes with some mixed emotions. As towards the end of the time this server was up, there was a lot of toxicity throughout the server. And even in the staff team. Regardless of this, Skylegion was my first “home”. My time there is roughly 8 months, in which I was Helper all the way to Admin. I was demoted, due sadly to some corrupt staff members during a time the Owner was on vacation. And I knew the server wasn’t going anywhere with it’s current management (No offense to them) so I made my exit.
GammaMC is another server I have been staff on. But for a very short time, I was only helper on there for 3 weeks roughly. The server was planning a merge with another one called NightCraftMC I believe. And they had no need for some of the newer staff members.
Lastly, and more recently. I have been staff on PrimeMC. I have only recently resigned from my Admin position on that server. My time being staff here has been little over a year. 7 months of that has been me as an administrator. I have loved every moment being staff here, and working alongside the community. And am still loyal, for lack of better wording, to being there. As explained before in my experience. Many different things I’ve learned was during my time in Prime. I try not to shy away from asking questions, and not shy away from admitting to any mistakes I make. I still hope to make a difference in the community of this server, even if I’m still limited on what I can do as a normal player.
Little bit about myself:
I tend to be quiet first getting to know me. But once I warm up to you, I’m probably one of the more weirder people you have ever met. I don’t shy away from a good joke, but understand the importance of maturity where it is needed. I’m quite aware of my weaknesses, and work hard to make sure they do not hinder my work capabilities. I’m very easy going, and have at a time been called “Timeless” which, to be honest I’m still trying to comprehend what that compliment completely means. A lot of times, if I choose not to get right into knowing everyone, or speaking often. Is because I make a bit of a priority to stay out of drama. This is not by any means me trying to be anti-social. But I’m quite aware how drama and miscommunication can affect people.
Some of the different hobbies I have, include playing piano. This is something I’ve done for about 13 years now, and it includes completing 2 Music theory exams. And playing in music festivals, which my best friend and I have won a trophy for. For best duet played in it.
I also do a lot of baking, and general taking care of a house. As both my parents work, I do cleaning throughout the day. And try to make a point I don’t let my work keep me from that.
My free time, I’m usually playing video games with my cousin. We build together on minecraft, and enjoy just playing mini games together.

- Accepting/Denying Staff applications: My time during this involved assessing how the players treat others both ingame on the forums, keeping up to date on their punishments. And following a criteria each applicant had to meet. I also helped our Community manager on Primemc Junnk (at the time) with deciding whether or not an applicant should be accepted/denied.
- Working with Buycraft: I worked with many Donation support post’s solving issues, either on player’s side. Or the server’s side. Creating coupons, fixing discounts, and create new payments, to name a few things I’ve learned.
- Taking part in Promotions/Demotions: At least once a week, all the admins and manager discussed the staff members work quality, and amount of time they put into the server. I’m quite familiar with giving the proper permission for each rank both ingame and on the forums. With regards to demotions, I’ve been in many situations needing to either confront the staff member asking about what happened, while keeping in mind to be understanding on how it may happen. As well as giving advice to other admin’s on how to handle them confronting a staff member.
- Testing Bugs: I’m quite familiar with learning how a bug works that is reported to test it out. And properly report it to the right area for a Developer to fix it. As a side note, I’m familiar with Trello, and reporting the proper bugs depending on which priority they took.
- Accepting/Denying Player reports and appeals: Majority of my time as Mod/Srmod on PrimeMC. I handled many reports/appeals, making sure evidence wasn’t forged, they were giving all the proper information.
- Mentoring other staff, and being the manager of all the mentors on PrimeMC: I encouraged the members to ask questions, or just talk to me. As a Manager, I put an emphasis on assigning people who don’t know each other very well. In hopes of making new friends. And making sure they are in the same time zone, or at least close enough.
- Speaking directly to players through a live support/Tawk.to: With this I spoke directly one on one to players who joined it via the forums. I helped further discuss why they were banned, or directed them to the correct place on the forums.
- Using Xenforo forums: My experience with this isn’t hugely extensive. But I’m quite familiar with the generalized features. Plus manually accepting/denying users who have made an account.
- Documenting all the staff members and keeping up to date how much work they’ve done monthly: For a time, each month on PrimeMC, I updated how many punishment pages/forum posts each staff member did. As well as, I kept it up to date with new members coming in, and ones who have resigned/been demoted. Properly documenting reasons they were demoted or have resigned, warnings they may have received, and dates of when it happened.
- Using holograms: I’m quite familiar with setting up Holograms for a server, and/or fixing ones currently placed. My time on PrimeMC allowed me to get to know it by doing the ones placed in their OPFaction’s spawn.
- Accepting/Denying Suggestions: With this, I handled suggestions for the server and forums. Reading the opinions of other players who have written it on it. And considering how this may affect the server in a whole, with how easy it may make the server. If it will cause lag, or any other potential issues.
- I also have experience handling extending punishments meant for players that Helper’s could not do on PrimeMC. They posted it on a custom made website, where the proof was reviewed to make sure it’s correct. And if it is, the punishment extended to the proper amount.
