Hello everyone!
I’m very proud to release our brand new update to MC-Market, which is primarily minor changes that have been made to the site.

Ads Manager Updates:
Since adding SSL to the site we have decided to remove AdSense advertisements from being on MC-Market. Instead we have replaced the AdSense advertisements with more banners in our Ads Manager. This means that now there will be only advertisements on the site from our users, not external advertisers. The new ad positions which have been added are as follows:
  • Footer banner | $12.50 per day | Only visible to non-Premium users
  • Sidebar square | $15 per day | Only visible to non-Premium users
Along with these changes we have made a few other adjustments to the ads on MCM. They are:
  • Top bar banner advertisement price has now been reduced from $25 per day to $20 per day.
  • Sticky threads now appear on all pages of the forums list, not just the first page.
  • Added ability to create sticky thread in the Social Media Accounts subforums and the OG, Semi-OG, Ranked, and Cape account forums.
  • Enabled ‘Advertise Here’ link to attract more advertisers when there are not 5 stickies per forum.

Development Changes
Unfortunately, Lyphiard has decided to resign from his position as a developer on MC-Market. Lyphiard was the first official developer MC-Market and the work he has done through his custom addons has made MC-Market a safer place.

With this change though, I’m proud to announce that we have a brand new developer joining our staff team on MC-Market! NixFifty, one of the most established and well-known developers for xenForo is going to continue developing custom addons for the site to keep up with all of the great suggestions made by the community. In the future expect to see even more custom development on the site on a much more regular basis, starting with improvements to the reputation system!

Sidebar Polls
We have added a new addon that allows us to create polls on the sidebar of the MC-Market homepage so that it is easier to get input from the community on minor changes to the site as they happen and to get your opinions!

Other Changes
Along with the major changes above, over the past few weeks we have also released a bunch of minor updates. To stay updated with small changes as they happen, please follow our Twitter account! The changes are as follows:
  • Added SSL for increased security.
  • Added  emoticon (custom drawn by TechBanana).
  • Added ability for all users to view the history of threads they have viewed here.
  • Added back an automatic welcome conversation for new users.
  • Added Github and Telegram account fields on profile
  • Added small ‘OP’ banner on the avatar of the original poster in threads.
  • Added a sidebar countdown timer for all future announcements and updates.
  • Added Minecraftforum.net and Topg.org prefixes to the Serverlist Slots forum.
  • Adjusted the order of forums in the Minecraft Services category.
  • Adjusted wording in rule 1.21 slightly to be more clear.
  • Changed name of ‘Slots’ subforum in Advertisements to ‘Server List Slots’
  • Changed name of ‘Suggestions & Feedback’ forum to ‘Suggestions & Bug Reports’
  • Fixed issue where threads were not able to be bumped in Currency Conversion forum and Social Media Accounts subforums.
  • Fixed issue that caused Account Upgrades to not be assigned automatically.
  • Fixed issue that prevented users who signed up through Google from logging in.
  • Removed :rekt: emoticon.
  • Removed Livestreaming and Skype subforums from Social Media Accounts forum.
Thanks a lot, I hope everyone enjoys the new features and updates!
Mick
