Advertise the MC-Market server more!

I was not aware that there was a MC Market server until they put a little widget on the side!
And even with that there is a three player playerbase.

This community could make a kick-ass server, however barely anyone knows about this server. Furthermore, MC-Market could advertise their server amazingly on this website!
I had a sidebar ad for ServerGoat for two weeks and it had 500,000 views!
Who knows what the playerbase would be if there was a slot for MC-Market's server.

MC-Market really needs to get their server advertising up, and it would be an amazing server.

That is for your dev service tho... So, that would obviously get a lot of views... Not sure how that would do for a MC server trying to get players... Might get a few curious players, but I do not see it doing a whole lot.

Where did you come up with "3"?
Did that just happen to be the number of players online at that particular moment, when you checked? x-x
I'm not sure that's an accurate way to measure a playerbase if that's the case, however, I do agree with the overall message.
I've been looking forward to the sidebar with the server status for quite some time, knowing that there were too many people on here not aware of the server; and even still, I know there are probably people who will remain ignorant to it's existence unless advertising is increased further.
I'm not sure what the best course of action would be to do that though.
Advertising on external sites seems awkward. It's for our community after all. They'd have to join our site and associate the account.
For now, I'm just focusing on trying to make it a good server, so that word of mouth will hopefully carry it along until better advertisment methods are discovered.

If you have any suggestions about how to advertise besides "Advertise more" I'd love to hear them.
You said something about stickies, but there's no relevant place to put it. This site isn't for advertising servers. We have a forum dedicated to the MCM server, and it has a sticky there. There's no real better place to sticky stuff about it as far as I can figure.

True, I am sure mick has enough money to get a slot on minecraftservers.org, or even 1 video from a decent sized youtuber.[DOUBLEPOST=1485982027][/DOUBLEPOST]What if you get a youtuber to advertise the website itself, and thus getting not only the website more people, but the server as well perhaps.

I had gotten three from the amount of players which were on 4 hours ago, I agree with you, maybe it is hard to advertise more. We could get a for example 'MC-Market Server Suggestions/Bug' sub-forum which would immediately increase playerbase, however other than that I am a bit lost.
Maybe a thing above the shoutbox saying 'GIVEAWAY ON MC-MARKET SERVER' or something like that, just like the water.org announcement thing.
Either way, I stand by my point that lots of people are not even aware that the MC-Market has a server, and we need to boost the servers advertisement.

We did have the sidebar thing but that was removed a little while ago. We could re-enable it but it may have been a cause of our problems so I'd rather not risk it.

I guess this was accepted, though, considering we did use a sidebar status thing.
