Hello MCM!
Today I come to you with help. I currently own a server, and it isn't that popular, it's factions with custom enchants. I think it's a nice and unique server, but I'm having troubles with getting players to join.

I have a budget of about $200 once I get my paycheck next monday, about a week from posting this.

I need ideas on how to advertise my server, I've looked at other threads, and people have said to use YouTubers, and almost everything I contact one outside of MCM they do not respond. When I do contact via MCM either their prices are too high, or they don't want to record factions(or their sub count is botted).

Thanks in advanced guys! I know MCM is the place to go, and I really hope that eventually my server is enjoying as all the other servers out there.

If you need more information about my server, Let me know and I can see what I can do. Thanks!

I am also considering changing the name to something more "eye catching" as the name right now, isn't.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Renting means you are buying slot time from people who have won the auction (bought the slot). Buying a full slot for example Minecraft-MP will normally cost a few grand but lasts for 30 days. Thats why renting is a good opportunity for smaller servers as you can rent a small portion of the 30 days for a lower cost.
Ok, Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Unless I don't have a couple grand (which I don't) my best option is to go with renting correct?

Correct, however I have seen many servers do well during renting then go right back to how they were before afterwards. Make sure to have an event or sale during your renting time for better results.

Yes for sure, weekend slots are more expensive, but the reason for renting the slots is because (I'm not 100% sure) people book out the slots and if they have it booked for say a week, and have used only 3 days, they rent out the rest of it to people who want the slot now, vs waiting a long time for all the other people who have pre-booked already to get their slots and wait your turn. I don't see how it would work any other way, but I myself am not that familiar with the process. And for finding youtubers, I'd suggest doing a post on MCM under advertising saying "Looking for Youtuber | 1k Subs..." and requirements as such. Make sure not to leave your skype so that you get the person's MCM, so if they scam you somehow, you can at least open a report on them. I'd also suggest going for youtubers with around 1k-5k subs because lower tier youtubers with 100-200 subs aren't going to really care as much about their channel, and I doubt you'll get any players as only about 30 of their subs are active, probably less. If they do somehow get your skype (like from reading your signature, which has your skype) then ask for their MCM, and if they say "I don't have one", or "A friend told me about you", or "My manager found you" (this one is probably the only exception), tell them that the deal is off. Just remember that their MCM account is like your insurance. Hope this was helpful! My hands are getting sore xD

Its also a useful way for slot owners to make back some of their money.

If you mean saving up for a slot, I'd say it is worth it. Slot websites have been declining in traffic recently though, more noticeably .org.
Alright, Thanks for the information.
