Advertising 101 For Dumbies



What you will need:

1 Account on minecraftservers.org, minecraft-servers-listing, planetminecraft, minecraft-mp, topg, enjin forums, and minecraft forums.



Different Steps To Take:


1] After you have made an account on all those websites, post your server on all those minecraft listing website. Make the description extremely nice as sometimes players read those. As well as banners are actually what attract your players. Paying $40+ on a banner believe it or not will actually pay off. It attracts a persons eye and if it is nice they will assume the server is nice. Thats why I always have great banners made. Make sure you get a nice website done as well for players look at the website FIRST and if its bad, kiss players good bye. This is all precaution steps.


2] Make a second alt account on minecraftservers.org, can be the same password just different email and username. This is incase it gets banned. Your server will not be banned do not worry. On this website. At least 3 times an hour [what I would do] I would add 4 different server adding of my server. So for your case make 4 more Hyperbian listings with that account. For each one use all the same information expect for the server type tags, write these for each of the separate ones 1[KitPvP, PvP, PvE, Economy, Hardcore] 2[Prison, Creative, Factions, Skyblock, Minigames] 3[Factions, Economy, Raiding, PvP, McMMO] 4[Pixelmon, Skywars, Minigames, SurvivalGames, tekkit] Yes fake server types but its what makes people join. Lots too, its okay if they ask where factions or something is, just say this is a KitPvP server. If they say it said on the listing, act oblivious, if they become aggressive, mute them. Pretty much you will have 4 listings on the very last page of MinecraftServers so it is free advertising


3] Go on Enjin forums and create a server thread about your server. Prefer to make an actual thread design, cost like $10 to make by someone else which will look extremely professional. Lots of people will view it so make it look nice and players will join. Make sure you have a nice thread title for it.


4] Repeat step 3 on Minecraftforums.net


5] Bump PMC at 3pm Eastern Standard Time [EST], this is the time you will gain the MOST amount of players from the bump, up to even 30 brand new players just like that.


6] On your MCSL [minecraft-servers-list] site, press the “PING” button whenever you player count rises, even one, if it goes from 3 players to 4, go on the account and your listing and quickly ping it so it says 4 players and more players will join.


NOTES ON HOW TO GET PLAYERS TO STAY: Welcome every players by their name [Welcome {name}]. Always ask how everyone is doing, try to become an actual “ally” with every player. Become their friend to where they love you more than the actual server. As well as have at least 3 staff members who are EXTREMELY friendly, where they welcome the players and love the server way too much that its weird, those are the staff members you want.
