Hello everyone!

I am JoshB and I am requesting advertising advice for a site me and my partner own. My partner is the money man and he has decided to dump $1,000 into advertising to pick up this site again. We want a shit ton of signups and people who actually find our forums good enough to stay with it. We have everything licensed so there will never be any issues in the future, but we want to know specifically where to advertise. Google ads just didn't work, we wasted $50 on 2 users to sign up. That sucked, but we live and we learn. I recently have contacted several other crypto forums to promote us, but the smallest campaign amount we could advertise with any of them was between $5,000-$10,000 for a months worth.

So I am extremely confused about where to go from now. We still want this forum to kick off, and the money is there but I am looking for advice from anyone about where we can stay on budget and accomplish what we have set out to do. I do not want to hear how we should not waste money trying to make this work, I just want the advice of how or where we could advertise with the budget of $1,000.

Thanks to all who provide any helpful advice, and thanks for anyone just reading the thread.

Great Ideas (so far)
  • Facebook Ads
  • Content Creators (Youtubers and Streamers)
  • Social Media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)

Heyo I am a marketer my self! I suggest working with some youtubers who are big into crypto that mine, sell, buy etc. Social media is a BIG help for anything you are trying to promote such as Instagram, twitter, or facebook. Good luck my friend and I wish you the best of luck if you need any support along the ride just message me and I can try my best!

your best option is to contact crypto sites, content creators and discord servers. when i work for businesses as a marketing manager i do all these steps. if you would like someone to do it for a very reasonable price, be sure to add me p0nchok#0381

Use Facebook adds target people who have an interest of crypto currency bitcoin ans ethereum. Limit your age to the younger generation not saying the older generation doesn't do crypto but I know my grandparents who invest dont because it's to risky for them at their age. The older they are also the less likely they are to spend hours on a computer a day. If you need more help or direction feel free to PM me.

Hey Josh,

Fantastic Site, I would suggest going for Instagram then when you see some growth then jumping into Facebook. It won't be hard to switch over as Facebook owns Instagram :p.

Hope this helps wish you all the best.

Facebook Ads
Facebook ads are just as bad as Google Adwords. Google Adwords is only good if you want a website to get views (not signups) and Facebook is only good if you want people to come to an event of some sort, not really for signups on a website.

Facebook ads are incredible if you know what you're doing.

I am not going to go out of my way and type up an entire essay on everything I know but I'll give you a couple bullet points regarding FB ads.
  • Do not put all of your money into 1 ad. If you plan on investing a lot of money into FB ads, split it into multiple ad campaigns because it's cheaper for each click.
  • Don't target huge interests. For each campaign you need to be very specific with the people you are targeting. You cannot just target "Bitcoin" and expect to see good results. The interest "Bitcoin" will target 20.1 million people, which is way too large of an audience if you want to see results. I suggest targeting smaller interests and make your total reach < 500,000.
  • In my experience, videos give better results.
  • Give instant gratification. If you're going to target young people, don't show them the site in the ad, or any boring numbers or graphics. Show them Lamborghinis, and Ferraris. Start with the "why" and end with the "how". Tell them why they should join your site, because they could get knowledge that would lead to a Ferrari, then tell them how to join your site.
There is plenty of information on YouTube regarding FB ads, just start researching it. I love marketing, so I just research this stuff in my free time. Let me know if you have any questions.

I think Youtubers would be your best bet, though it may not be cheap, its a very good way of getting brand awareness and possibly singups.
