When I owned advertisements on the top of the pages on most of these server lists, players which have been voting for other servers saw my ad on the top and joined my server....

I dont think sending players to a website with a bunch of other servers to send a vote is a good way to get other players...
When you are a server owner, you want to keep your players away from server lists as you dont want them playing any other servers.

If your players are dedicated, they should stay. If your players are not loyal & dedicated, your server is probably in a small mindset.

Once your big however, players usually won't "quit" your server after seeing an ad on the top of PMC when voting.
