May seem dumb but for the time I have been talking in chat I won't mind clicking on a link of something advertising when the message isnt 4 lines long and all CAPS. To me all caps seems like attention seeking and my suggestion is maybe limiting the advertising in chat to no full caps as it is pretty obnoxious. Like I said before, someone posting their link with a small sentence is fine and all that is truly required not for example: "CLICK THIS LINK EASY CHEAP BASE BUILDS IM SELLING CLICK NOW AND BUY ASAP I HOPE EVERYONE SEE'S AS ITS CAPS"

Just an idea as seeing bold caps red text filling half the chat kinda gets annoying.

Well, they only get 1 chance to advertise every 24 hours so they need to make sure they don't waste their chance. This will increase the number of people breaking the limit of once every 24 hours as their ads will most likely not always be seen by people just passing by the home page, if you see something in all caps when you pass by you will probably read it.

I understand what you mean but I was just claiming it is sort of obnoxious being full caps. If i see a link i check it out. Doesnt need to be all caps. Idk

New rule: "Do not send chat advertisements which are obnoxious, obtrusive, or otherwise disruptive to current conversation."
Whatcha think?

Would at least discourage someone from blasting their wall of caps in the middle of a nice chat-wide conversation.

Well, as I said. Someone who is just passing the homepage to go to one of the forums will not notice an advertisement if it's not in CAPS. Just my opinion :)

The rule is one every 15 minutes, not 24 hours. ;p

3.4 Do not send multiple advertisement messages within fifteen minute increments.

It seems very difficult to be able to draw a line with this, just as Netflix said. Thread titles and shoutbox advertisements are pretty similar, where they are often caps to get peoples attention. Not too sure what we can do about it, as I think that a total ban of capitals in advertisements wouldn't work.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
