Today I'll be asking the question every server owner has, how does one advertise their server.
Before commenting something like voting/advertisement sites, comment down below what ones you recommend such as the traffic they receive. If you have any other tips let me know; I've already tried livestreams and it's helped a little bit but my server is still quiet dead.


General Information
Survival (SMP)
Plugin that adds machines
Custom dungeons (such as wynncraft but timed and other changes)
If you need anything else let me know...

I'm in the same situation. I need to figure out the best ways to advertise, either cheap or free. Any more?

Before you even opened a server, you should have known getting players was not a walk in the park.

Sadly, you’re not going to get good effective “free” ways to advertise your server. If that was the case, everyone would have players. If you want an easy way to gain a few extra players a day, bump all your server listings every 24 hours.

Honestly if you want a effective way to advertise a server. Hire a girl Minecraft streamer for an hour or so, then let her play your server and boom, players. My friend just did it and gained over 50 dedicated players. Although he spent $125/hour, he still made it back.

In business, you gotta spend money to make it, nothing is going to be given to you.

There are no good free methods of advertisement.

You can hire a decent size streamer by the hour, give away some stuff when their viewers join, and that might convince some players to stay.

Well there's always spam advertising on other servers it's kinda efficient (I tried about 4-5 years ago). Has a chance to backfire though.

A really good one is word of mouth, go on a server you play on and advertise to your friends in private messages (also bannable on servers, so get their discord first)

That's what I got ;)
