Advertising on .org with 0 playerbase

How would this work exactly, if I buy 12 hour slot with a 0 playerbase, how much players and donations should I expect?

This is hypothetical and i'm just asking because I want to know.

I don't know much about profiting from slots, but what I know is that if you bot your server to 50-100 players, you will get up to 2x the players/donations. Sounds stupid, but people won't join if they see only like 5 other players are on.

People ask this alot, like a user above mentioned, it's irrational to put up your server with 0 players, get alts, spambots, anything online to boost the playercount. People looking are going to join servers whom have banners that they can actually read and have features that appeal to them, and also servers with good/high playercounts. .Org gets the most "burst" players unless you invest alot into YouTube/Twitch.

No, it's a unique minigame i've been working on for a while and been receiving feedback over the months trying to perfect it.

I'd split the advertising money for one big YouTuber then after that rent a .org slot.

Was thinking about that, I'd honestly like youtubers more because it'd be showing the gamemode off more in depth and I think more people would join and just getting an org slot after I get a small (10-20) playerbase.

I rented 7 hours of .org two weeks ago on the release day of my server. It went from 0 players to 87 peak that day. The next day with no ads whatsoever, we hit 57. Obviously retention rate completely depends on the quality of the game-play you provide, and how well targeted it is.

Focus on player count increase before you focus on how much your donations will increase.

If you are in this solely to get donations, save yourself time and quit now.
