Advertising Question

Hey,
just wondering, if one wanted to get a decent player base, how much would one have to spend?

Basically, I am just wondering on the costs of advertisement and how much of an effect they would have etc,

but what is an org slot and what does it even do?

A .org slot is when you purchase hours for someone that owns the actual slot on minecraftservers.org. By doing this the owner will change his server info and placing YOURS instead of his in the slot and the hours purchased.

correct me if I am wrong as I am still rather confused...
So when I purchase for example 3 hours of .org slot,
someone in the 'Sponsors Servers' section in the website minecraftservers.org will replace their info for mine for the 3 hours???

How much of a playerbase are you looking at?

Not extremely high..

(As in like hundreds of players that will cost me like a grand to pay)

Well, if you're looking for like a solid 40+ playerbase, that'll be around 1k-1.5k. You could get some solid youtubers to do a long going series on your server, and go off from there. Once you get moar money, get some .org slots and you can go from there.

Hard to come by nowadays for a minecraft server.
