Let me set straight on the background, I've been on a few hcf servers. And the idea of them is pretty cool, but I have this great idea to just make a completely better server of it. I have a few great ideas for a server that can completely turn it around and make it even more fun than a "completely generic hcf" server. But, I barely have any research on how well these servers do, or barely even see them around. I feel that this kind of server I would have a lot of fun making. But unlike most gamemodes, I have no clue how running it would suffice.

I am here to ask a few simple questions,

Should I make an HCF server with some very interesting game impacting ideas that aren't too complex, but good paced and fun?

Is making an HCF server difficult to gain advertisement from? Like making a factions or op prison is. Due to the amount of youtubers that will not touch those gamemodes.

Does HCF servers even gain attraction on server lists? Free and paid?

Instead of taking a lot of time to research these, I thought I'd ask down and see if anyone on here has the answer to any of these questions, or if you have experience with owning one.
I really want to make one of these servers, but not sure if it's worth it.
Thanks!

There are tons of HCF servers and if your hoping to make a successful server, a HCF server is not the way to go. I recommend comming up with an idea of a gamemode that has never been done. A fun, unique and interesting gamemode. If you would like some ideas im always free to talk to. Good luck

I'm aware of this. This has actually been the case of advice for a while now. I have been creating servers and been in this community for a very long time, I'm thankful for the advice, but with my experience creating a unique kind of server isn't as easy as it use to be. Creating generic gamemodes and giving them "twists" tend to be more successful than creating something out of no where. Completely custom servers require more investing. A lot more.
That is why I wanted to see into this topic! My op prison server gained 500% more success than my entirely custom Rust server. But it just took so much investing to keep that alive, when it's generally easy to do it for a more generic mode. As everyone already knows how to play it. Though, I'm getting tired of them and I am very interested in creating an HCF server, just I am scared on how it would turn out even with sufficient investment. :)
