Advice on a vps

If you plan on bringing your server back I recommend getting a dedicated server, not a VPS.

Of course doing that would be the best option but not the most affordable, as I still have to spend money on lots of other things like advertising which can be quite expensive.

just keep in mind, when you get a VPS, you're NOT going to be able to use all the ram for the server. 8 gigs will only give you 7gigs MAX.

Indeed it is refereed as having to leave overhead for the OS and control panel (if using one). For a standard Multicraft install you will want to leave about 1.5GB to 2GB of RAM for overhead. Mileages may vary for other configurations.
