Hello

My skyblock server is currently being hosted with Clovux. It's a very good hosting, good support. Now as the server release is comeing closer I would like to have some information on what is best to release the server with. I'm expecting around 10 people at the start but I'm sure the playercount will not reach higher numbers then 20. Players will be mostly from EU and US.

I've got one of the basic packages from clovux hosted in the EU and people from the US complained about very laggy situations. So I informed myself with Clovux and it's possible to set up a US and EU server forwarding to the same server. That's the first option.

I experienced some blocklag (breaking blocks would not always break them etc) and I'm not sure why this is caused as the internet says many different things about it. I started wondering if I needed a vps or a dedicated server to resolve that.

What's the best option I can go for price/quality? I really want to get rid of that blocklag.

Thanks in advance

Hi, what is your current ram setup?
You could own a great dedicated server from any hosting provider, about the block lag this can be from your shared host or your internet.

I personally like nolag.host, has good support and i haven't had any block lag, the pvp on it is pretty good and it's extremely cheap

Hi, we sell very high performance plans that would be great for your server. We also have servers on four different continents (Australia, South America, North America and Europe) to provide excellent connections to your players if you need to have multiple server locations. Check us out at http://ownagehosting.com

The problem you have is that some players are in the EU and some are in the US, if you locate in the EU US players are going to suffer and if you locate in the US EU players will suffer, you need a balance between the two.

Generally we find that a East Coast location will work well for providing good US and EU connectivity, but either way there's likely to still be some very small delay, but if you're having them all on the same server then realistically it's the only way to do it when it comes to Minecraft, either that or have a separate server for US players and a separate for EU players.

Honestly, stay at Clovux. I've been using Clovux for a year+ now and they are great. You should probably get more GB honestly. What's your current Clovux plan and how many plugins do you have?

Check us out we offer MC servers for $1/gb. We currently only have a Dallas TX location. We will be expanding to more locations soon. We own our hardware for Minecraft servers!

I've used Nexril from Lyphiard and it's great. There is also Vexo as an option, I haven't used them but heard good things about them.
Almost every Hosting has good reviews on MCM or even in general, it all depends on which one is the one to trust, it's pretty much a gamble today.

How does that have anything to do with my post with suggestions?[DOUBLEPOST=1508147233][/DOUBLEPOST]
We are currently setting up 2 of our own servers, we will be able to provide test IPs relatively soon, we will also be transferring costumers to our servers if requested.

Actually, a lot because every host you go too, you'll see a good comment. So you can't base opinions based off comments unless you tried them yourself, just not a proper vouch in general. It's like voting for the mets or Yankees but not having an idea whom either one of them are ?
Might aswell vouch all Minecraft companies out there because you can hear something good about literally "all" of them. Aidan don't be bias now. :)
