  1. When people keep saying those stupid underage jokes. You should make it so they can’t appeal.

It’s actually annoying how they make a joke that they know will get them banned. But they expect to be unbanned.

More and more people are doing it, it’s actually ridiculous. It’s a waste of everyones time especially staff.

I’m requesting that there should be a certain amount of time that you must wait for an a ban reason such as this or have them recieve a long suspension so there’s no need to take the time to go through redundant appeals because of “jokes”.

Explain why you disagree, this is a waste of time for everyone. Especially knowing you’ll recieve a ban and still doing it just to waste staffs time again on an appeal.

Awful suggestion. It is a JOKE.. Just because someone says something does not mean it is true. This idea is nearly as bad as YouTube rewind.

And that's not the point they're making. It's about wasting the staff's time, no matter if it's a joke or not, and alludes to the fact that situations like this contribute to why there's such as large backlog in support requests/rep disputes and scam reports.

These are the same people that complain about the staff being bad, not doing their jobs. They can’t do what they need to when there’s people like this taking the staffs time away from good people. I can’t see how this wouldn’t be a good thing. People purposely getting banned just to be unbanned? It’s not logical.[DOUBLEPOST=1545403711][/DOUBLEPOST]Yeah, I guess they shouldn’t ban them. Just suspend them for a long time so they don’t have to go to the trouble of ban appeals.

There's a lot of people who do things intentionally while knowing that they will be punished for it. There's so many other things people can do besides making "age jokes" to get banned that will "waste staff members time".

The whole point of having staff members is for them to punish those who break the rules and if someone makes a joke that will essentially get them banned, then they get banned. How is it a waste of staff member's time to punish a user for breaking a rule when that's exactly what they should be doing?
If they’re punished for something. For example if I made an age joke in sb and then asked to get appealed to get unbanned right afterwards because it was a “joke”. It’s waste of time since they recieved what they deserved and the staff have to deal with the appeals.

So instead of it being non-appealable, maybe the person has to wait x amount of time before they can appeal? Having it non-appealable just seems way too excessive, when there are people who can appeal for things worse than joking about their age.
Yeah, that seems fair. I overreacted a little bit. I just think that they should get a long suspension or have to wait a certain amount of time before they can appeal instead of a slap on the wrist. More and more people are doing this and they’re continue if there isn’t think that are set into place.

This is a huge waste of time and definitely needs a change. I’d suggest banning the user and forcing him into a appeal. Both the jokers and the users who were underage should both receive warning points.

This should essentially round up how we handle these cases for those who are interested. This has been internally clarified and agreed upon within the staff team.
  1. If we have any reason to believe the user is underage legitimately, they will be banned accordingly.
  2. Joking about it will either get you a shoutbox kick or your post removed with a verbal warning accompanying it.
  3. Ignoring our warning and continuing to joke about it will lead to 10 warning points for violating rule 1.1. That means an instant suspension.
Considering our only method of confirming whether a user is underage is through a direct confession. If we believe your 'joke' to be a legitimate slip of tongue, we will ban you. That is not a pleasant experience for you guys in the end to make an appeal. Hence I strongly suggest to not even consider joking about this topic in the first place as we may as well accidentally interpret some 'jokes' as legitimate confessions.

It's a huge waste of time dealing with needless appeals and banning people for every little thing. I'd suggest just letting the user be and being more lenient with all of the rules. It's a dying Minecraft forums.
